He is the first academician in Turkey to earn a Ph.D. in economics in China.
And he is also one of the few in the country who has turned to specialize in the Chinese economy. He is interested in the world economy and development and works on differentiated development strategies for developing countries. In addition, he seeks to explore the possibilities of modeling the relationship between culture and economy, with the assumption that cultural differences play an important role in the economic development differences of countries.
