We held the third session of our EconTalks webinar series, titled "The Political Economy of Corruption", online on April 23rd, 2025. In this event moderated by our faculty member Assist. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı, our distinguished speaker, Assoc. Prof. Chandan Kumar Jha from the Madden School of Business and Economics at Le Moyne University discussed the relationship between corruption and economic policies.

Our faculty members, Assist. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı and Res. Asst. Fatih Furkan Akosman delivered lectures at the School of Geopolitical Thought program organized by the Ankara Center for Thought and Research (ADAM) Foundation on April 20th, 2025.

Our faculty member and Vice President of the Committee of Experts on the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development Goals at the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, Prof. Barış Alpaslan, moderated the panel titled "Women in a More Equal World", held on April 12, 2025.

The project proposal prepared by our undergraduate students, Ahmet Taha Avcı, Asude Durulmuş, Ayşen İmran Sarıcaoğlu, Enes Melikşah Ak, and Eren İlber Bal, under the supervision of our faculty member, Lecturer Dr. Mehmet Akif Gündoğdu, has been accepted for funding within TÜBİTAK 2209-A Project Programme.

The article "The Myth of Meritocracy: Does Meritocracy Promote Economic Growth? Evidence From Turkey" by our faculty members Prof. Barış Alpaslan and Res. Asst. Mevza Kurtulmuşlar, has been published in the "Review of Development Economics".

Our faculty member, Prof. Barış Alpaslan, has been selected as a finalist in the "Social Action" category of Study UK Alumni Awards 2025 by the British Council.

Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Burcu Uğur, gave a seminar titled “Child Care Models and Women's Participation in the Labor Force” organized by the Women's Rights Commission of Istanbul No 2 Bar Association.

Our faculty member, Assist. Prof. Ayşenur Karakaş Aydınbakar, participated the panel titled “Women’s Participation in the Economy: Practices, Challenges and Opportunities” organized by the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO (UTMK) as a panelist.

The first session of our EconTalks webinar series titled “Anadolu University Confidence Index” was held online on February 25th, 2025.

Our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Burcu Uğur was deemed worthy of science awards in two separate categories at 2024 ASBÜ Academic Awards for her valuable scientific work and academic activities.
